SuperReal is an immersive digital art experience lasting approximately 45 minutes where optical illusions 360-degree video projections and majestic space invite the visitor to plunge into a world of unbridled digital dreams. The experience designed by Moment Factory, in partnership with Cipriani, is scheduled at different times of the year and presented at the iconic grand hall of 25 Broadway in Lower Manhattan.
Troublemakers had the mandates of musical direction, musical composition, sound design and on-site integration of audio content.
Moment Factory’s creative approach is one of the most interesting aspects of the project from an audio perspective. The choice to integrate music by well-known artists such as Philip Glass or Jean-Michel Blais into the soundtrack required creative audio editing in order to align emotional musical curves with visual dynamics. Another unique aspect of this project is that most of the musical composition and sound design was produced on site during integration to respect the more than seven-second reverberation of the enormous hall.
SuperReal is presented on an annual basis and now competes with creative digital spaces from the New York scene such as Artechouse. The exhibition recently earned a Visual Media Experience nomination at the SXSW 2020 gala.
