A historical multimedia show at the Pointe-à-Callière Museum

Montreal, Quebec (2019)

Generations MTL is a multimedia show retracing the historical dates of the city of Montreal, from its foundation to the present day. The project is a collaboration between various Quebec talents: TKNL, Studio LEX, El Toro Studio, 20K and Troublemakers.

Troublemakers had the mandates of musical direction, musical composition recording, sound design and on-site integration of audio content.

Troublemakers loves to participate in local projects in order to enhance the city’s artistic activities. Moreover, because of its museum-related and academic character, Generation MTL gave us the chance to observe the sound evolution of our city (archive, “on-location” sound recording for an authentic effect) and to add our personal touch by remixing music by Oscar Peterson or by manipulating Leonard Cohen’s song, Suzanne.

Generations MTL is such a success that the museum added content in 2020 to expand the experience. The show has won several awards, including the Muse Awards 2019, NYX Awards 2019 and Numix 2020.
